What will you do in the role?
Full life cycle data science, from design to production. Being product-driven, you will be responsible for diving into the data and identifying patterns that contribute to delays to our customers' projects. Working towards high-value product features, you will develop automatic recommendations that can help our users improve the performance of their projects in a measurable way.

- Python. Python. Python. A lot of Python, at production quality standard.
- Identify the most suitable algorithmic solutions for bespoke product feature requirements.
- Engineer interpretable models, either proprietary or ML ensembles for highly interdependent data features.
- You'll contribute to internal tooling that is critical for us to scale.
- Communicate complex AI concepts in simple user-centric terms.

Requirements
We're looking for someone with:
- Ambition to be a world-leading expert.
- Appetite and capacity to keep up with emerging technologies.
- 3+ years Data Science experience developing and productionising Python models in an agile environment.
- You have built AI models before, you have experience with data preprocessing techniques, feature engineering techniques, model evaluation and productionizing/deployment.
- You have a solid understanding of statistics, you know how to evaluate model performance and uncertainty, you can perform hypothesis testing, you can evaluate the pros and cons of the algorithms you’re familiar with.
- Comfortable with back-of-the-envelop POC model development/testing and data-driven evaluations.
- You can take complex, fuzzy problems and boil them down into simple, elegant, and lovely solutions that are good enough, rather than perfect. You’re pragmatic and impact focused: you will choose Excel over Python if it answers a question faster.
- You've innovated solutions with imperfect data and open-ended requirements.
- Your proactivity has made Product Owners happy, and have a natural tendency to define success criteria.
- Adaptability and autonomy - were a small startup, things change a lot and fast.
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
We’re also excited if you have:
- Experience building Docker images and running containerised applications (ECS, Kubernetes, Fargate).
- You have built ML pipelines combining NLP and DNN.
- Experience in data engineering (e.g., ETL, pipelines) and SaaS architecture.
- An eye and a skill for mind-blowing, self-explanatory charts.
- Masters in AI or related field.
