Responsibilities

• Provide practical, business oriented legal advice on various legal issues, counsel and recommendations on significant issues and assist in the day to day legal and regulatory activities of the group;
• To manage various international projects (support of external offices, establishing of new legal structures amp; models globally and others);
• To research and advise the relevant legal issues in various jurisdictions and regions to draft legal opinions, memoranda and other briefing documents; Identify applicable requirements and ensure compliance with them;
• Advising on corporate and commercial matters, employment law, IT and technology law, data privacy etc;
• To be actively involved in preparing, reviewing, negotiating and drafting of commercial documents (contracts, Tamp;C, licensing package, policies etc);
• Drafting, review amp; control of legal and internal governance policies of the Company;
• To be actively involved in international cooperation with different company partners, authorities, business correspondence, business meetings;
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advise on possible legal issues;
• Deal with complex legal and business matters with multiple stakeholders and forces;
• To collaborate and communicate with external legal advisers and corporate service providers on various legal and other issues;
• To advise management, heads and other staff on EU and International legislation and other rules affecting business of the Company, including employment and regulatory issues;

Requirements

• BSc degree in Law or other similar degrees;
• Minimum of 3+years of post-qualification legal experience in a business environment, at least the 2 of them in a similar role, preferably at an international investment firm, law firm or an investment bank or fin tech company;
• Previous experience in the FX/CFDs industry will be considered an advantage;
• Experience in working across multiple jurisdictions;
• Knowledge of IT / IP / Data protection law and regulations, experience in high-tech, online/web platforms, software, Fintech, banking, PSPs e-money, e-commerce and similar fields, are a significant plus;
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity;
• Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills;
• Fluency in reading, writing and speaking in English;
• Computer literacy; Active amp; initiative candidate, 'gets things done', team player;
• Strong personality amp; managerial skills (managing and coordination of projects);
• Ability to work on a wide variety of matters from complex matters to routine standard matters;
• Ability to effectively and proactively supervise external service provides;
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
• Attention to detail; Outstanding communication skills

• To undertake other such duties as may be reasonably requested by the Head of Legal.
