Your daily activities as Senior Compliance Officer will be:

  • Liaising with all the relevant business and support areas within the Company
  • Monitoring on a permanent basis and to assess, the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures, policies and procedures put in place, and the actions taken to address any deficiencies in the firm’s compliance with its obligation. Monitoring and assessing the level of Compliance risk that the Company is facing (implementing the Compliance Risk assessment and monitoring plan)
  • Advising and assisting the Senior management as well as other critical and operational functions, in respect with any business decision. Ensuring that the executive directors or other hierarchically higher officers do not exercise inappropriate influence over the way in which a relevant person carries out the provision of investment services
  • Drafting written reports to the Management Body at least on an annual basis (The Annual Compliance report and the Annual AML Report) as well as preparing and submitting all the regulatory reporting.
  • Serve as a company representative on regulatory issues and the contact person to regulators
  • Maintains all the employees’ files in accordance with the respective regulation
  • Ensuring that the Company’s Capital is sustainable, analysing the Corep forms so as to confirm that the Company is in sufficient financial level.
  • In coordination with the Risk Manager, analysing the Company’s risks so as to design relevant policies to minimise the identified risks.
  • Design the internal practises, measures, procedures and controls relevant to the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing
  • Develop and establish the Clients’ acceptance policy
  • Evaluates the deposit/withdrawal procedures to align with the financial profile of the clients
  • Receive the internal suspicious report and perform any evaluation and complete any suspicious report to MOKAS.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’'s degree (Master’s preferred) in law, 3-5 years of previous experience in related field.
  • Advanced English language skills both in written and verbal, knowledge of professional vocabulary in both languages.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal form.
  • A strong sense of responsibility, good stress tolerance and self-management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong research and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Profound knowledge and experience about the financial sector.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
