The role
You will be joining our Infrastructure squad as a Site Reliability Engineer to help ensure that our systems are resilient, secure and capable to support our growth.
What you will be doing
- Operate and scale our infrastructure (Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, MongoDB). We have data on the size of TBs that need to be blazing fast.
- Automate aspects of systems using infrastructure management tools of the trade (we use Terraform). Code once, deploy everywhere mindset.
- Ensure our metrics give an accurate picture of how the system is performing (we use Prometheus). Leverage observability in your day-to-day processes.
- Troubleshoot issues and respond to incidents, correcting and improving systems to prevent incidents and grow at scale. Take point in handling service degradation.
- Maintain the deployments and tools that improve company processes.
- Improve and maintain our application monitoring systems, processes and flows.
For this role, we'd like to see
- Working experience of 3+ years as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps or of a similar position
- Proficient in managing cloud infrastructure with tools like Terraform/OpenTofu and Crossplane
- Expertise in administration of Kubernetes clusters (preferably GKE)
- Expertise in observability (Logging, Monitoring, Tracing)
- Strong experience in scripting and automation
- Experience in at least one systems language (e.g. Go, Rust)
- Experience in Python, ability to navigate large codebases
- Analytical, troubleshooting attitude
- Passion for continuous improvement and challenging the status quo
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
Good to have
- Familiarity with Relational Databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
- System design/administration background considered a plus
